Attorney Hitt is a civil litigator in the Boston office.  His practice includes the following areas:

Attorney Hitt is a 1990 graduate of Oberlin College and a 1994 cum laude graduate of the College of Law at Michigan State University
where he served as editor-in-chief of the law review.  From 1994 to1996 he served as a law clerk and then Deputy Chief Law Clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court.  From 1996 to 1997 he served as a law clerk to Justice J. Harold Flannery of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

In 1997, Attorney Hitt was appointed as an Assistant Attorney General in the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office.  As an AAG, he spent eight years in the Government Bureau and served as Chief of Opinions from 2003 to 2006.  Attorney Hitt was then appointed as Chief of the Civil Rights Division in the Public Protection Bureau.

Attorney Hitt is a member of the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Boston Inn of Court.
